1. Management Training
In efforts to assure success for the future generations of CED, the competitive management training program teaches top candidates every skill needed for every job, in every facet of our fast-paced and profitable industry. With impressively high industry conversion rates for the Management Tranees, the main goal of the Management Training Program is to create effective and successful managers for our location. With this extensive and hands-on training program, we are able to assure that our business is ran by highly trained and knowledgeable candidates.

This training program is made up of four basic phases: Warehouse and Counter Sales Training, Operation Training, Customer Service Training, and of course, Outside Sales Training. Get paid to earn a real-world M.B.A. as you choose your 24-30 month path to managing your own CED location.

2. Sales Training




For those candidates who are energetic self-starters, the CED Account Manager Development Program offers a highly structured training course designed to prepare candidates for Outside Sales/Account Management. Throughout the program, which includes on-the-job, classroom and online training, candidates are exposed to all aspects of the electrical distribution field. This challenging program requires strong commitment from each participant and encompasses, but is not limited to, Electrical Fundamentals, Warehouse Operations, Supplier Product Seminars, Inventory Control, Sales and Interpersonal Skills, Information Technology and Quality Assurance. Upon finishing the program, the candidate will join CED’s professional sales force which is directly responsible for growing our business by serving existing customer bases, as well as, developing new contractor, industrial and commercial sales territories.

Requirements for the Program:
Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license are required. You must be outgoing; sales oriented and have excellent communication skills. You are an assertive team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to think fast on your feet in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. You must be able to relocate throughout our locations. You are friendly, out-going and organized. 3. Credit Training
The goal of a Credit Training program is to comprehensively train individuals to protect the assets of CED, adopt CED’s credit policy and philosophy, and to learn the processes of managing a CED credit office. Upon completion of the program, the individual will have the background and expertise to transfer to an existing CED credit office or start a new credit office.

Individuals coming into the program will normally have little or no business and credit experience. The training is designed to last approximately thirty months. Individuals coming into the program with more experience will be moved through the program at a faster rate, commensurate with their experience.
